In this heartfelt interview, we sit down with Zohra Ijtemaye, who arrived as a refugee in Canada from Afghanistan at just 7 years old. Reception House was the first place she came to, and in this conversation, Zohra reflects on her experiences growing up in Waterloo Region. She shares insights about her parents, navigating the Canadian school system, and the challenges and joys of adapting to a new community as a child.
